Yesterday somebody smashed out my next door neighbors window (which is about 10 feet from my window because we're in a condo complex), and proceeded to steal all of their laptops, tvs, xbox, cameras, ipods, etc.
On the way out he smashed several car windows in the parking lot and stole several more things.
Luckily, the upstairs neighbors called the Police when they heard the window break and the Police caught him walking about a block a way. He had over $10,000 dollars worth of stolen stuff with him!
Its scary knowing this guy probably definitely scoped out our condo before choosing our neighbors. I don't know what made him choose theirs over ours (both of our windows are on the ground level and tucked back behind from view of the public.) Also, my friend had his $1000 mountain bike stolen a couple weeks back from our complex so I wonder if he was the same culprit.
All I can say is that they are extremely lucky they got all of their stuff back! They hadn't had any of their serial numbers written down so they would have lost all of it for sure even if the cops did eventually catch the culprit.

Yikes! Glad it wasn't your apartment or car and that they caught him.
